Whether a brand is primarily dependent on e commerce or not, its website represents a virtual home for the values, feel and offerings that are central to the customer's journey.
I am experienced in the management of maintenance and even complete rebuilding of the website experience. In a 6 week timeframe, I took an outdated drupal website and built a completely reimagined website experience on the BigCommerce platform.
In this transition, I took special care to keep the brand familiar but make the site fresh and easy to use.
Similar to the use of frontend floor space in retail stores, the homepage was designed to be a welcoming location that visually directed shoppers to the places they already knew that they wanted to visit and even to introduce them to new offerings or brand connecting conversation points that they had not yet known they wanted to discover. Throughout the whole site, brand messaging and visuals were woven into all product offerings.
The results were astounding. The site saw a significant increase in the time spent per page, average order size, and a reduction in bounces.
After creating the new site, I additionally invested several months into creating training videos for multi-division teams and roles on how to interact with and participate in the upkeep of the new site so that the positive impact could be permanent.
